I got it from seeing small cars in Europe in the past 21 years. Just because I've got few posts under this screen name doesn't mean I'm a travel-newbie.

Regardless of whether the cars are bigger or smaller, I just don't think I want to hoist a loaded 30" bag into the boot of any car, large or small. YMMV.
