But to be on topic: you can buy for $1105 (including taxes) 40,000 AA miles. At this time (until March 31) you will get 30% bonus, so you receive another 12,000 AA miles after 6-8 weeks. This gives 52,000 AA miles. These can be transferred to HHonors for $30, so for $1135 you get 104,000 HHonors-points.

And you can try with a lower number ofcourse.
