If course, but why is it that they want those airlines and are not interested in LY? Why not give up on the chance of including them and choose to have an alliance with LY? The reason IMHO is that these airlines open up additional destinations and can serve to funnel larger numbers of passengers into their home or connection hubs. From a business perspective adding LY to an alliance gives them nothing.
