So, Korean sells that seat as one fare on their website so I was confused why I'd have to combine two rewards for it.
You should be able to go to DPS on KE if you depart from the USA. Ticket should be 120K. DPS is much closer to ICN then SYD.
Series 15B (150K)- is South Pacific: American Samoa, Australia, Fiji, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Western Samoa.
But Indonesia should be South Asia:
Series 4A (120K) is South Asia: Includes Brunei, Cambodia, China, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Myanmar, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Saipan, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
You should be able to do USA to DPS for 120K on KE. You can fly NW segments as well. But CO won't let you fly BF as CO considers BF a F.
You can only fly CO BF if you fly to NRT - but not beyond.
