Hi,

Going down to see my friend in Singapore.

We are trying to find a place to go for a 4 day trip (the most his wife will allow). Also would like to be able to get on a direct flight to avoid losing too much time travelling.

Without being too difficult - Below are some of the places which we won't go to.

He doesn't want to go to BKK since he has been for work (I have never been except for the airport).

Cambodia - I worked there

Ho Chi Minh - worked there

Manilla - his wife says it is dangerous


We could do:

1) Resort areas in Thailand
2) Malaysia - non-KL areas - we have both been to KL
3) China - Silkair I think flies to Chengdu, Chongqing, xia men, Kunming
4) Darwin?
5) Hanoi? - Is it true that you have to fly into Ho Chi Minh first and then connect to Hanoi?

Sorry for being sort of random, but we are looking for something cool to do for a few days.
