When I flew economy to NRT last year, I got a surprise on the return leg... I was told to pay 2600 yen(about $26 at the time) airport tax. What the heck...then after i paid at check in, they stopped me again at the gate just before entering the plane.. they said pay up! I was so pissed.. and took out the receipt..
