Where are you going on the "L"? Technically, the HR ORD would be closest (if one was adept at pole vaulting or the use of grappling hooks), but for the rest of us it's a long walk from the Rosemont Blue Line since you have to go around the building. The Park Hyatt is probably the easiest walk to the train -- two short blocks to the Red Line at Chicago. The HR downtown is reasonably located, but pretty far from the "L", and McCormick Place is hardly convenient to anything.

All of the new Place/Suites properties are in the suburbs, where there's only sporadic transit service. (The only suburban property within walking distance of rail transit is the HR Lisle, a few blocks from a Metra commuter rail station. But if you're willing to take infrequent commuter rail, the HR McCormick is next to a Metra station.) There's a proposal to build a HP across from Wrigley Field, which if built would be just half a block from the "L."
