Are passengers in Aeroplan Reward seats treated differently?
My husband and I travelled from YVR to YYZ, then connected to MCO. We were in J class on Aeroplan Reward tickets. On both flights (different FAs) when taking the meal order we were left to the very last to be asked for our choice. What really brought this to my attention was that on the first leg, my husband had swapped seats with a kind gentleman who was seated beside me, as we were not seated together. The FA asked my husband (calling him the name of the fellow who had moved) what meal he wished, skipped me, then went on to other passengers. In both cases I was left with whatever meal was still available.
Do the FAs know we are travelling on a rewards ticket and are giving the paying passengers first choice? I understand the rationale if that is the case but had not seen this before - and did not experience this issue on our return flights home.
Apologies if this has already been answered - I searched but could not find anything relating to this topic.
