So I messed up a bit. I had the signature MR Visa on which I got 10 nights toward elite qualification when I signed up. I began staying at Marriott properties a bit more often (all the way to Gold) and decided to switch over to the premier MR Visa which carries 15 elite qual nights and cancel the signature card.

I, like a moron, signed up for the premier card before canceling the signature card, thus causing me to lose both the 10 nights on the signature card for this year and the 15 nights from the premier card because you can't get both at the same time. The signature card is now canceled, but my question is should I contact Chase and/or Marriott to see about getting the 15 nights of elite qual credit for this year? That's probably the only way I'll requalify for Gold in 2010. Or am I SOL?
