I certainly do not fault US for enforcing their policy. Nonetheless, not everybody is aware that US is no longer "giving away" free pillow in Y, so I would not fault a customer for assuming that a pillow in a Y overhead bin is off limits - especially when all of the F seats have pillows. The FA's should be careful about leaving pillows in eyesight of Y customers.
