Then 6 months later, like I'd done before, I tried to transfer 3,000 miles to delta skymiles. Nocando!

That's when I learned about the reward levels, which the amex rep should have told me when I canceled the gold card and was downgraded to the stupid reward level.

Moral of the story, I had to fork over $70 to Delta for the 3,000 points and I now have lots of the stupid reward points that are good for nothing. Thanks amex!
