But the OP is going to SYD, which should be on the 747, which should all be converted by December.
In my one international F experience, the ratio of FAs to passengers was clearly more than in any of many previous C flights. FAs were older, which was great: they were like mothers who WANTED you to drink - very friendly and attentive. And of course the amount of room in F is almost obscene (the old C provided plenty enough for me). Is it worth the additional miles? I'd probably go for F unless I had a clear use for the miles in the future.
