It'll prolly only be used once a year so if it's not a big deal (weight, bulkiness, etc), I'd rather go big so I can fit more in.
Not hard to handle but I did find it easy to cross the 50LB limit with my 29" that used to be my staple during the old 70LB days.

I just switched to 26" for that very reason. I also carry an inexpensive light duffel at the bottom of this bag; it can become my extra bag if I buy stuff over there, otherwise it can be a laundry bag.
