I am going to be flying NW/DL from DTW-SFO, then connecting to a separate OZ ticket SFO-ICN. Will NW check bags through to the OZ flight if I want to overnight in SFO? (but not before 24 hours of departure for the OZ flight).

I want to overnight in SFO, but I do not want to have to carry my 3 checked bags around (I wasn't even planning on getting a hotel), and I have NW elite so I will be able to check in 70lbs rather than the 50lbs limit I will be restricted to if I need to recheck them with OZ.
