that's not true.... I frequent declare the dried squid and fish that my Korean
friends give me... the US customs officers never said anything after taking
a look at the contents.

same thing with the chocolates that I bring back from Switzerland.... I always
declare them, but was never stopped. Wait... is chocolate considered food?
