The vast majority of straight-up plane tickets on Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz will qualify for miles. YMMV when it comes to vacation packages, though. And on sites like Priceline, you get miles for tickets where you select the flights, but not when you use the Name Your Own Price feature.
