I am now confused. Isn't Amerisuite = Hyatt Place? So does this confirm OP's original observation that the HP beds may not be Grand beds?

I also have had issues with sleeping at HP in the past. I am at a HP now and don't look forward to sleeping on that bed

BTW: I pulled the cover off the end and it saids "Grand Bed Plush Pillowtop". I will be at a Hyatt Regency later this week and will check the label on that bed.
