does the US customs allow canned whale meat from Japan to US?

no, I'm not trying to a whole whale in a can.... just one small 6 or 8 ounce
can....

I know they allow fish products in a can, at least that's what a customs
officer told me the last time... but do they consider whale to be a fish?
