I think the basic idea of the skyroll is good. The problem is the form factor and the access that is a bit weird. I imagine it is not easy or even impossible to pack a file folder or even a laptop computer into the skyroll. Is it?

This is the advantage of the Sandbar; you can pack a folder and a laptop, which makes it possible to use it as an only-bag on short trips.

I think that the moment you need to carry an extra briefcase anyway, a wheeled bag is definitely the better solution because you can stack the briefcase on the wheelie and you are good to go. Otherwise you feel like sherpa carrying two bags on your shoulders. Not elegant and not practical and probably not healthy, either.

For a really short trip, where one can wear the same suit for traveling and business, even the Tumi briefcase in small or large version would probably be enough because all you really need is some toiletries, a fresh shirt or two, and underwear. So then you could actually forgo the rolling bag as well as the skyroll or the duffle. You could just take a briefcase and carry those items in it along with your business-related items.

I find we often don't think outside the box, or shall I say bag, enough. We think that business and private stuff should be in separate bags just like your home office is not in your bedroom. But the bag doesn't mind and unconventional solution.
