And especially fares to FRA, I have seen them EXTREMELY competetive right now. Try a day before/after, or see about flying into MUC or CDG, and then another flight to FRA or take a train.

Now to directly answer the OP, I would have a tough time justifying 700 more for UA. 50, 100 maybe even 200... yes I would take UA, but 700 is a pretty good chunk.
