It's for Mr. and Mrs. Middle American, whose idea of an exotic vacation is a week in a motel on Waikiki. His persona is perfect for appealing to that audience.
Exactly. He knows his piece of the market and sticks to it. If you want a show on luxury, adventure or in depth cultural travel, you're going to need to find someone else.
