Since I don't have any chance to travel by Amtrak, so I can not redeem my AGR points for Continental miles. I am thinking to redeem my 10,000 AGR points for a $100 Budget Rental Car gift card.

I called both of AGR and Budget customer services, apparently, none of them knows the rules.

I already used a corporate rate to get a quote and reserved my car.

But from the following terms, it seems that in order to use a Budget gift card, I can only use a Budget "REGULAR" rate to book my car, in that case, it doesn't make sense to use a lot of points for a Budget gift card.

Has any one here ever redeemed a Budget gift card and is it worth it to use a Budget gift card ?

"Terms & Conditions
Budget services will be based upon the regular Budget rates in effect at the time and location where you present the rental certificate. Renter must meet Budget age, driver and credit requirements. Other terms and conditions, which are listed on the certificate, may apply. Please read the certificate upon receipt.
