I saw that there were some Elite members on the DUB - CDG segment last week (Plat, Gold and Silver) and though some of these probably would get upgraded to the front cabin as the flight was packed full.
There were also 5 AF crew flying as PAX to CDG and guess who were asked to move up to the front after the doors had closed!!!!
This is not the first time I've seen this and it's always the cabin boss giving they clear to go signal to their collegues, but in all fairness only when the C cabin is all empty.
Seriously... Who is paying their salaries and therefore giving them a job to go to every day? I would say the frequent flyers who have spent quite a few quid on using this one airline alone in many cases... I'm not after that "better" meal but the space and less cramped conditions if you could even use that as an argument with one seat free in each row of three seats.
I'm just wondering what kind of signal this gives to punters and what business model is this to let employees benefit in front of paying customers???
It actually p*ssed me off (not that I was not offered to sit up front but that employees were given priority) and thought I'd write a letter to AF (CityJet) but re-though my idea as it wouldn't make any difference...
