Just before I booked the seats (Club World), British Airways reduced the fuel surcharge a few dollars. This was in October or November 2008, I believe. Now, as I noted, the charge is down further. As I'm in Club World and flying from San Francisco-West Coast to London, I realize I am paying the highest USD for a flight from the US to London.
