Fuel Surcharge on Upcoming Flight: Is a refund possible?
In late 2008, I booked two roundtrip tickets using Executive Club miles SFO-LHR for late April 2009 travel. Taxes and fuel surcharge came to $700 USD per seat, ouch! Now I've learned the fuel surcharge for booking a flight today is down $90 USD per ticket, still high. I haven't flown yet, I haven't used the fuel yet. Anyone think I can ask for a refund before I fly?
