GPS- TomTom One-S or Garmin 260 (but refurbished)?
I am thinking of getting a GPS for an upcoming trip next weekend. I have rarely used them - I am pretty good with directions and maps and seem to get around better than a lot of locals for places I visit. But I figure it would be a good thing to have, if I don't spend too much on it. I have set a point of about $100 for a unit.
I was looking at the TomTom One-S - it's an older (perhaps discontinued) model, but it have everything I need - 3d view, Text to Speech, and ability to enter an address. I an not so concerned about how many specialty stores it has listed in it's database - I can find that stuff easier. But I read a lot about how bad the TomTom maps were compared to Garmin.
Garmin has a 260 that I can get for about $20 more (I dont want to go any more than that). But it is a refurb unit, and I am not sure I should take that risk. I also wonder how better Tomtom maps are with their new updates and TomTom Home. Anyone compare the two recently?
