Sorry, that is absolutely silly. I have been to Singapore and London in the past two weeks. I travel a ton internationally. What does the fact that the bag only sold in the US have to do with anything. The point is that it is highly unlikely that the bag will have a problem because of the quality of the manufacturing. Even if it did, I would not get it fixed while traveling but after I got home.
The point is that, with an item from Delsey (and maybe Samsonite), you can get most things sorted in a host of major cities around the world. Maybe not on-the-spot, but quite comfortably if you're staying somewhere for a couple of days. You can't do that with the likes of Red Oxx.
