That's probably because the novelty of flying abroad has not worn off on the FA's who get the chance to do the international sectors... (I think they rotate with domestic/international, or am I mistaken, as I never see many of the international crew on domestic flights)
I do believe they have separate FA groups for domestic and international. Its like a promotion, to be on the international sectors !
