I think that the A380 operates the QF32/31 to SIN/SYD ( c 1200 departure from LHR) BUT ONLY three days a week currently ( Qantas.com shows the schedule but Saturday was definately one of the days and Tuesday/Thursday seem to ring a bell

Must have been some other bell you were hearing.
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are the days the 388 leave London. It looks like other flights are being added sometime later this year as it appears on a Monday & Friday as well in July. I presume these will be dependant on airbus delivering the needed equipment on time to QF.
IrishStephen I think you will find the flights that BA shows as 'Aircraft type not available' will be the 388 flights.
