Hertz has given me worst without me complaining, but this one took the cake. I was renting the other day at PWM. They TRIED to give me a 45,000 mile Kia Rio, which I believe is economy (a), and I had reserved a standard (d) I couldnt fit in the Rio. So I told the person, I want a standard. He said no standard.... I had been on the lot and notice they were fairly full with cars. I said well... how about an upgrade?
He had to basically call a manager and have that person show up to give me a "grandma quis." At about this time I am banging my head on the counter, driving on the roads I am driving on in Maine in the winter, w/ RWD is suicide. So in the end I got a loaded Mercury Mariner, 16,000 miles, AND Maine tags.

I would say thats a fair upgrade, but come on hertz get these 40K and 50K mile cars off the road.
