AA is just giving bonus miles, not a voucher. AA miles can be redeemed in the name of any traveler, just like a TB reward can.

It is miles on AA so subject to redemption issues that you would have there. Some folks think it is very hard to redeem miles while others don't have much trouble. YMMV. The TB reward is the same way.

The AA reward is 3x RDMs, so you get ~7500 each way on the transcons instead of ~2500. The B6 promo is not associated with the existing points in the TB account.

Yup...agreed. And if you have any points sitting in an AA account right now (I have 25K orphaned there) then the AA program is better for exactly two trips, as combined with existing points it holds even more value.
