Here is the recommendation from my bag manufacturer:

"The best way to clean our bags is by hand in cold water. You can use Dawn or Woolite. Dawn if you’ve grease stains. For tough spots a nylon soft bristle brush or soft cloth with a dab of soap. Let the bag air dry either hanging or flat."
