I've sat in that box (on the left) a couple of times. It was a while ago so I can't be 100% sure, but thinking back I think you loose up to about 1/3 of the stage but it depends on how far you sit back in your seat and where you position it.
If you are in the front row of seats you can move your seats closer to the edge, and you can lean further forward over the edge of the balcony and see practically all of the stage, but its not a very comfortable position, and you risk blocking the view of the people in the next box along. No one minds the odd occasional peek though!
For Opera I think they are pretty good seats; you can hear everything and you can see the main singers most of the time. In ballet you may miss some of the action, but the seats are something like 1/3 the cost of stalls seats so pretty good value overall
