I've only ever done Pre Flight Dining at BOS and the food hasn't been bad at all, might just be because I'm a vegetarian. Two years ago flying on the 214 I managed to stuff myself in the lounge (and that was when there wasn't propper pre flight dining due to the lounge works going on), and then had a decent meal onboard, which I had forgotten was being served because of the lack of full lounge facilities.
