I think that when they know there are few passengers they should fill the plane more reasonably. Comfort is something we have to pay but airlines shouldn't never forget that their passengers must always find a good reason to continue flying with them in short-haul flights....
Ah, I'm glad you took Ryanair out of the equation! I still prefer any of the airlines you mention to Easyjet too for all the reasons above, but Ryanair was definitely my main disagreement! Hope AF listen to you and give us more space when we fly tempo (or should I now say 'voyageur'?) on an empty plane!
