1) What comes into your mind first when you think of Lufthansa (typical historical values and core competences of Lufthansa)?
Safety, Reliability, Quality
2) Where are the main differences between Lufthansa and other airlines (what makes Lufthansa unique for you?)?
I like the way LH cares for its loyal customers - both SEN and HON. Loyality with the airline is getting visibly rewarded.
3) Which aspects of Lufthansa give you the feeling of “safety” (as a passenger or as an investor)?
Young fleet, high spending on maintenance, cabin crew emphasizing safety (please note that these points are not necessarily factual correct but these assumptions get to the feeling of "safety")
4) What are the main changes in terms of service at Lufthansa (in the air and on the ground) in the last 10 years (more/ less service)?
LH got over-trimmed on efficiency and this became visible - which is bad. While cost-cutting on maintenance has not impacted pax' perception (impression of "safety first" is still the same) - similar to Mercedes-Benz LH made cuts visible (no individual water bottles in Business as the most (in)famous example): food, beverages, amenities - all is worse than it was five years ago.
While I agree on cuts in the loyalty program, I disagree with "enhancements" made regarding the visible quality () and LH's policy to fly with an antique F seat ("the national disgrace").
LH is following the policy of "enforcing" differences between Y, C and F instead of empowering the individual product lines to create the best product possible.
LH has improved the service attitude (especially notable in F) which is welcome and has created great ground serives for HON and F pax in FRA.
LH has lost the cutting-edge of being a quality airline - in all classes of service, equipment is below average (most visible in Y with no individual entertainment).
