I have all 4 of my gold upgrade coupons, but part of me is wondering "hmm if F is wide open (2/16) should I save my upgrade and take a chance on a 72 hour window?" They're still offering upgrades on two of the fares for that flight (but of course I'm flying on a hot deal).
I think the transcons are an excellent use of the MVPG upgrade coupons if you want to gaurantee a seat in First Class. I've tried taking a chance and putting myself on the upgrade list, and it's never worked. (SEA-EWR and SEA-DCA)
