When I fly as a pax in milair, whose seats are almost always rear facing for safety reasons, I notice more equilibrium issues even at level cruise. I generally end up with a headache upon touchdown but that may be a combination of both the rear-facing and the need to wear double sound protection (the planes tend to be not as sound isolating as commair).
