Thank you FlyingHoustonian for bringing some facts to bear on the matter. I have taken that tour on the M/V Sam Houston and I can echo the sentiment that the Port is certainly a high value target.

Having said that, I think the banning of photography is over the top. Cameras can be very small and inconspicuous today (heck, one guy with a prosthetic eye is working on having a camera installed in it). So I think that it would be difficult to ensure that no photography is occurring. It is not like there is a crew member watching each person all of the time.
