Hey, I'm pretty sure that aircraft (or one with a remarkably similar peel job) was at LAX on Saturday! My 14-yr-old son and I were doing a one-day SFO-LAX-SAN-SFO to go to the zoo (and pick up some cheap segments), and remarked on its condition.
If it wasn't the same one, I wonder if there's something about the aerodynamics that makes the paint come off first in the same areas....
