Time to bump this thread and see if any FTers have a new suggestion for my Black Forest fix. Research back in 2007 did not come up with a good alternative to the old Lutz's.

Anyone been to Lutz's lately? What's happening there? Last time I was in, maybe a year or more ago, it look as though it was becoming a wedding cake center with a few German touches.
