No, but the government does. APD (Air Passenger Duty) costs double in premium cabins. So up from £20 to £40 on ex-UK flights to Europe.

Well, the fuel rip-off is higher in premium cabins - presumably because of your increased use of space. There are, of course, arguments for and against this...

Or is BA just trying to recoup the cost of the CE meal from me???
It does feel that way sometimes...
