Looking to fly LHR-PRG using BAEC miles (I am a BAEC USA member). Taxes and fees came out to $127 r/t, which though annoying (don't know why how so many European and Asian carriers get away with this -- SIA too -- when most US airlines would charge you ten bucks for a similar award ticket), was not unexpected.

However out of curiosity, I checked availability in Club Europe, and was surprised to see the taxes and fees come out higher, at $155!!!

What gives? Do airports charge taxes differently by class? Do airlines burn more fuel upfront than in the back? Or is BA just trying to recoup the cost of the CE meal from me???
