Isn't pretty much every airline losing money these days? Many are expanding service in some areas and reducing it in others. Maybe QR figures expanding will help them make money in the long term. They ordered all of these a/c long ago and they are finally coming into service. I suppose they could refuse to take possession of them or something but I suspect they would have to pay some sort of penalty for breaking the contract. So they might as well use the new planes to try and make some money/gain some market share with the hopes that if things get better economically they will be well-positioned.
