VX uses gate 25 at SAN, not gate 35.

The boarding pass printers are in the tabletop that the screens sit on, just like at SFO.

The security checkpoint to get to gate 25 is very quirky as far as wait times are concerned. I take the same flight every Thursday morning, and sometimes the wait is 10 seconds, and on other weeks the line stretches out across the walkway that goes over the street below. It's very weird trying to guess whether the line will be long or short. The upside is that even if the line is all the way out over the street, it moves very fast. I've never had a wait longer than 10 minutes to get through it.
