Maybe things have really changed since I lived in TPA. I-75 didn't go to the east cost back then. And I guess you're really Apollo Beach. So I'm thinking of the 5+ hours on Alligator Alley to MIA. But still ....3 hours ??
Oh yea .. unless you have something against the small planes, the Beech 1900 is fine. Noisy, bouncy and excellent views.

I can drive Apollo Beach to Key Largo, running I-75 to US27 to Krome to US1 and cross Jewfish Creek in under 3.5 hours 99% of the time. Make it to Key West in just over 6.25 every time I drive it. Speed limit is almost always 70 on I-75, and to stay with traffic, set the cruise at 80. 250 miles at 80mph equals about 3 hours.
