Since this is an international ticket--i am operating under the assumption that they are using the systemwide which have two parts (1) upgrades for the traveler (2) upgrades for the companion. I think that once you use the primary traveler coupon, you would want to use the companion coupon (this is assuming they are using the 2002 systemwides)

Even their computer systems don't care and will happily take domestic upgrades out of someone's account when they were upgraded 7 days out as a CP companion (as I've learned by personal experience).</font>
