If you want a window seat 1A is forward facing and has direct access to the aisle without having to climb over your neighbour but the curvature of the cabin and the lack of side bins as on the 747 upper deck means it is a bit more cramped than on the 747.
Middle section aisle seats are good as no-one has to climb over you.

1A is a lovely seat, but I have noticed lately that BA will block it for crew members to rest. This has happened to me before where I have selected 1A and been removed from it prior to flying, only to find out that it was left empty. On one occasion, I overheard one of the flight attendants explaining to another passenger who wanted to move into the seat that it could not be used due to the reason I mentioned above.
Luckily in those instances the cabin hadn't filled up too dramatically prior to departure, so my shift wasn't too bad - but it's a bit of a gamble.
Other than that, it is a really nice, cosy cabin.
