A simple handshake makes such a difference

I've just gotten round to filling in a compliments note on Ba.com and thought I'd share my feelings with you.

I recently had what I can only describe as one of the best CSDs I've ever met.

On my recent flight from NBO the CSD was very "present", and in the most cheerful, relaxed looking way possible. Very early in the flight she came round , introduced herself by her first name as she shook my hand, and offered her help "should [I] require any assistance whatsoever". She also gave personal attention to my very young nephew sitting next to me and, remarkably, remembered his name 8hrs later as she said a personal goodbye to him when we were disembarking.

It's not much but it felt so great. I definitely don't expect the personal greeting from the CSD or anyone else but when it's done this way, in the most natural heartfelt way, it makes a difference to how I feel about the trip.

Especially noteworthy when I contrast that with the CSD on my outbound who seemed to be hiding in the galley for the whole flight and took no visible part in the in-flight procedures at all. One is an example of the best that BA has to offer, the other a member of the CCL (couldn't care less) brigade
