seat lights, audio, safety video, call bell
were all okay on the LAX-OGG segment of a biz MR (UA 44 or 45 I don't remember) on Thursday 3/12.
A little more than an hour later I boarded the same craft (same cabin crew even) for the OGG-LAX segment, to find that the menehunes had struck big time.
On the ground before departure, overseat lights spontaneously turned themselves on, off, on/ off, safety video had to be restarted three times, showed on only two of the three monitors in C, prompting a live demo for coach and a slight dealy in take-off, my UA headphones kept falling out of the seat jack, but worked if I held the jack in place, but the spooked FA call bell....was enough to drive one to distraction. Mercifully it cut out at some point shortly after we were airborne.
Unbidden the FAs came around with a pre-printed form with relevant info already handwritten in (flight #, date, problems, etc.)
I replied to the supplied url on the form, chose 3 500 mile e-certs, received an e-mail confirming they had posted.
